Before becoming NewDVR’s Executive Director, Vincent worked with a smart card company, selling MIFARE smart card solutions, eventually popularising cashless payments. Its initial success allowed the company to develop an Access Control using the same MIFARE Smart Card.

After his productive endeavour with smart cards, Vincent pursued a local joint venture that provides biometric access systems to schools in Singapore. Shortly after,in 2005, he established NewDVR to solidify this venture.

Vincent went to China to design, produce and marketNewDVR’s own access control technology.He focused on developing self-service banking kiosks and turnstiles under the Sinkiosk brand to expand the company’s market reach to Asia and the Middle East, with Singapore as the headquarters. In his more recent years in the country, he introduced a long-range RFID reader for Asian markets.

Vincent returned to Singapore and became privy to the many wonders of the Internet of Things (IoT). This enabled him to propel our Access Control to be IoT-ready and from there, started creating an IoT market in Asia with Singapore as the data centre.

As NewDVR’s Executive Director, Vincent led the company towards being supported by Enterprise Singapore for qualified grants just as itstarted to gain a foothold as a one-stop IoT solutions provider. With his leadership, NewDVR was able to create a holistic IoT Platform that puts a premium on PDPA compliance and cybersecurity.

As communities become more fast-paced, Vincent seeks to lead the company towards the further enhancement of the ALiv Smart Community Platform for home, office, education, medical, industrial and commercial use by utilising the potential of Artificial Intelligence.

In his goal to equip countries with smart city solutions, Vincent actively seeks partners who are keen on using our platform in their respective domains. Herecently secured a partnership with a Philippine ISO Company for an IoT Hospital Solution. Together with other regional partners, NewDVR will be able to build a smart city solution for the whole of Asia.
